Fast Posting Charges

The Fast Posting feature allows you to quickly apply charges to one or more events simultaneously, streamlining the billing process and reducing manual entry. This is especially useful for:

  • Posting standard fees or packages across multiple events

  • Applying recurring charges (e.g., setup fees, service charges, room rental)

  • Ensuring billing accuracy and consistency across similar bookings

Simply select the relevant events, enter the charge details once, and post them all at onceโ€”saving time and improving operational efficiency.

Fast Posting Screen Overview

When you open the Fast Posting screen, youโ€™ll see two tabs at the top:

  • Confirmed โ€“ Displays all events currently in Confirmed status.

  • Tentative โ€“ Displays all events currently in Tentative status.

Note: Events with a Prospect status do not appear on this screen, as charges cannot be posted to prospect events.

Searching for a Specific Event
To find a specific event, type the event name into the search box. Matching results will appear as you type.

Posting Charges to Events

Follow the steps below to post charges to one or more events using the Fast Posting screen:

  1. Select Events

    • Use the Select All checkbox to choose all events in the list.

    • Or, select individual events by checking them one by one.

  2. Choose the Charge Type

    • From the Charge Type dropdown, select the appropriate revenue category where the charge should be recorded.

  3. Enter the Amount

    • Input the amount to be posted to each selected event.

  4. Adjust Quantity (if needed)

    • Update the quantity field if the charge applies to multiple units (e.g., days, rooms, attendees).

  5. Apply Charges to Multiple Events

    • If the Charge Type and Amount are the same for all selected events, click the Copy button to apply the values across all selected rows.

  6. Add Additional Charges (Optional)

    • To post multiple charge types to the same event(s), click the + (Add Row) button to add additional lines.

  7. Confirm and Post

    • Click the blue "Confirm" button to post the charges to the selected event folios.

A message saying "All charges have been added" will appear to confirm that the charges were posted successfully.

To post additional charges or apply charges to other events, click the Start Over button and repeat the process from the beginning.
