Accessing and Creating Turn Away Reason Codes

The Event Turn Away Reason Codes screen displays a list of all existing turn away reasons available for use with an event.

To create a new turn away reason:

1. Navigate to the Event Turn Away Reason Code screen.

2. Click the blue Add New button in the top-right corner to begin creating a new turn away reason code.

Add Event Turn Away Reason

When you select Add Event Turn Away Reason, the following screen will appear:

1. Name

Enter a clear and descriptive name for the turn away reason.
Example: Catering Limitations

2. Code

Enter a unique code or internal identifier for this reason.
This helps with system tracking and reporting.

3. Default

Toggle ON if this is the default or most frequently used Turn Away Reason.

4. Active

This field defaults to ON.
Set to OFF if you want to deactivate this Turn Away Reason and prevent it from being used.

Once all fields are complete, click the blue Save button to create the Turn Away Reason.

Confirmation

After saving, you will be returned to the Event Turn Away Reason Code listing screen.
Your newly created turn away reason will now appear in the list and is available for selection when cancelling events.

🔄 Inactivating a Event Turn Away Reason Code

To deactivate a turn away reason:

1. From the Event turn Away Reason Code listing screen, locate and select the Turn Away Reason you wish to inactivate.

2. In the header, click the Active toggle to switch it off.

Once inactivated, the turn away reason code will no longer appear in the Event Turn Away Reason Code listing and will not be available for selection on cancelled events.

🔁 Reactivating an Inactive Event Turn Away Reason Codes

To reactivate a event turn away reason code:

1. Navigate to the Event Turn Away Reason Code listing screen.

2. Use the filter option to display All or Inactive event turn away reason codes.

   • Active turn away reasons are marked with a green sidebar.

   • Inactive turn away reasons are marked with a grey sidebar.

3. Locate the inactive event turn away reason code you wish to reactivate and click to open it.

4. In the header, toggle the Inactive switch to ON.

The turn away reason is now reactivated and will appear in the main Event Turn Away Reason Code listing screen, making it available for use again.
