The Event Pace Report provides a comprehensive view of current business performance by allowing users to measure pace relative to budget and compare confirmed guest room revenue, event production, and package production against last year's actuals. It enables hotel teams to:
Track how current bookings and revenue generation are pacing against established budget targets.
Identify variances in key revenue streams β including rooms, events, and packages β compared to the same period last year.
Make informed decisions based on year-over-year performance trends and pacing metrics.
Spot potential gaps or opportunities early, allowing for proactive strategy adjustments in sales, marketing, or revenue management.
This report is essential for forecasting accuracy, performance evaluation, and strategic planning across departments.
Report Date Range: This report can render the data for up to 365 days in the past or future.

Event Pace Report β Dynamic View Overview
The Event Pace Report (Dynamic View) includes 15 columns of data. Users can customize the view by repositioning or hiding columns using the Configure (βοΈ) icon located on the report page.
Below is a list of all available column names along with their descriptions.

Actual Last Year | Actual Last Yearβ is a historical reference point that shows the amount of business that was actually consumed during the same period in the previous year. |
| Actual Last Year = Sum of Confirmed (consumed) Same Period Previous Year. |
Budget | Budget is the goal or expectation for how much business (e.g., revenue, room nights, event production) an event department aims to achieve during a defined timeframe (monthly, quarterly, yearly). |
| This value is sourced from the Event Goal configuration in EK Admin, specifically the Event Revenue Target field, Room Revenue Target field and Room Night Target field. |
Confirmed | The confirmed volume of event or group bookings that are contractually secured, often supported by a signed agreement or deposit. |

Lost Downgrade | The amount not fully lost, but a partial loss β typically involving a reduction in revenue, space, or services. |

New Definite | The amount of newly confirmed event or group bookings that have moved from a tentative or prospect status to a definite (confirmed) status during a specific reporting period. |

Pct Variance | Shows how much performance has increased or decreased, relative to the comparison value. |
| Pct Variance = (Confirmed - Budget) / Budget x 100 |
Reval | Displays the difference between the original and updated values. |
| Reval = Original Value - Updated Value |
Same Time Last Year | How much was on the books (OTB) at this time last year for the same future date range. |
| Same Time Last Year = Sum of Confirmed Business Same Time Last Year |
Slippage | The volume of business that was lost due to cancellations or client withdrawal. |
| Slippage = Cancellations + Reduction |
Total Prospect | The total number or value of potential group/event bookings currently in the sales pipeline that have not yet been confirmed. |

Total Tentative | The total number or value of proposed and temporarily held business, but is not yet confirmed. |

Variance | The variance representing the gap between confirmed events or group bookings and the budgeted targets. |
