Accessing and Creating Event Cancellation Reasons Codes

The Event Cancellation Reasons Codes screen displays a list of all existing cancellation reasons available for use with an event.

To create a new cancellation reason:

1. Navigate to the Event Cancellation Reasons Code screen.

2. Click the blue Add New button in the top-right corner to begin creating a new event cancellation reason code.

Add Event Cancellation Reason

When you select Add Event Event Cancellation Reason, the following screen will appear:

1. Name

Enter a clear and descriptive name for the event cancellation reason.
Example: Venue Space to Small

2. Code

Enter a unique code or internal identifier for this reason.
This helps with system tracking and reporting.

3. Default

Toggle ON if this is the default or most frequently used Event Cancellation Reason.

4. Remarks Required

Toggle ON if you want remarks to be required when selecting this Event Cancellation Reason on a cancelled event.

5. Active

This field defaults to ON.
Set to OFF if you want to deactivate this Event Cancellation Reason and prevent it from being used.

Once all fields are complete, click the blue Save button to create the Event Cancellation Reason.

Confirmation

After saving, you will be returned to the Event Cancellation Reasons Code listing screen.
Your newly created event cancellation reason will now appear in the list and is available for selection when cancelling events.

🔄 Inactivating a Event Cancellation Reasons Code

To deactivate a turn away reason:

1. From the Event Cancellation Reasons Code listing screen, locate and select the Event Cancellation Reason you wish to inactivate.

2. In the header, click the Active toggle to switch it off.

Once inactivated, the event cancellation reasons code will no longer appear in the Event Cancellation Reasons Code listing and will not be available for selection on cancelled events.

🔁 Reactivating an Inactive Event Cancellations Reasons Code

To reactivate a event cancellation reasons code:

1. Navigate to the Event Cancellation Reasons Code listing screen.

2. Use the filter option to display All or Inactive event turn away reason codes.

   • Active event cancellation reasons are marked with a green sidebar.

   • Inactive event cancellation reasons are marked with a grey sidebar.

3. Locate the inactive event cancellation reason code you wish to reactivate and click to open it.

4. In the header, toggle the Inactive switch to ON.

The event cancellation reason is now reactivated and will appear in the main Event Cancellation Reasons Code listing screen, making it available for use again.
