Reading the EventKey Dashboard

EventKey Dashboard Overview

The EventKey Dashboard serves as the main landing page within EventKey. From here, you can view a calendar that displays upcoming events organized by status: Prospect, Tentative, and Confirmed. The dashboard also highlights the total estimated revenue associated with these events.

In addition to the event calendar, the dashboard provides real-time visibility into the current housekeeping and maintenance status of each space.

The Actions Menu offers quick access to key functions such as:

  • Availabilities Calendar

  • Fast Postings

  • Group-Only Bookings

  • House Inventory

  • Inquiries

  • Tasks
    ...and more.

EventKey Dashboard (Home Screen)

Current Business Day (CBD)
EventKey automatically defaults to the current business day (CBD) based on your Property Management System (PMS). On the EventKey Dashboard, this date is highlighted in blue for easy identification.

Navigating the Calendar
To view a different month, use the calendar date picker located to the left of the Current Business Day (CBD). This allows you to easily switch between months in the calendar view.

Event Summary Overview
At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find a summary displaying the Total Event Activities and Total Estimated Revenue, grouped by status: Prospect, Tentative, and Confirmed.

Clicking on any of these statuses will filter the calendar view to show only the events that match the selected status.

Clicking on any event will open the event reservation.

Viewing Spaces and Room Status
On the far left side of the EventKey Dashboard, you’ll see a list of your meeting rooms, referred to as “Spaces” in EventKey.

Each space displays its current housekeeping and maintenance status, so you can quickly assess room readiness.

To view more details about a specific space, simply hover your mouse over the space name. A tooltip will appear with additional information about the room.

Clicking the checkbox next to each space will remove the space from the calendar view.

Viewing Today’s Cut-Offs
In the upper-left corner of the EventKey Dashboard, you’ll see a blue box labeled "Cut-Offs." This box shows the number of events with cut-off dates set for today.

To view the full list of these events, simply click on the Cut-Offs box.

Viewing Tasks
In the upper-left corner of the EventKey Dashboard, you'll find a box labeled “Tasks.” This box provides a quick overview of your current task activity.

  • To view the full list of tasks, simply click on the Tasks box.

  • If the box appears red with a number displayed, it indicates the number of tasks due for completion today.

Actions Menu Overview
In the upper-left corner of the EventKey Dashboard, you’ll find the Actions Menu. Click the dropdown to access a variety of functions that help manage your events and operations more efficiently:

  • Availabilities
    View a visual overview of space availability, showing which spaces are booked, tentatively held, or available—displayed by day or week.

  • Calendar
    Create and manage events, appointments, and tasks to organize schedules across your team.

  • Event Contract Status
    Check the signature status of event contracts to see whether they are signed or pending.

  • Fast Posting
    Post charges quickly to one or more events at the same time for faster billing.

  • Group Only Events
    Book events that include sleeping rooms only (no meeting space).

  • House Inventory
    View sleeping room availability pulled directly from your Property Management System (PMS).

  • Inquiries
    Track client leads and requests for venue space or services for future events.

  • Print BEOs
    Select and print multiple Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) across different events in a single batch.

  • Shift Management
    Start or end a user shift with this tool for daily shift tracking.

Creating a New Proposal
On the far right side of the EventKey Dashboard, you'll see a blue button labeled “Create a Proposal.”

Click this button to begin the process of creating a new event proposal.
